d&b audiotechnik training day at Orbital - (June 27th 2013)

One Day Electroacoustics Seminar

Orbital is hosting the d&b audiotechnik Electroacoustics Seminar – a one-day workshop designed to provide a deeper understanding of electroacoustics for sound system design and engineering.

Suitable for all skill and experience levels, the seminar format is audience led, focusing on helping delegates discover how loudspeakers interact with their environment and how to achieve intelligible sound. It's a great opportunity to brush up on existing knowledge as well as to gain new skills.

Key elements include:
- Furthering an understanding of sound 'fun'damentals and help you to understand some of the physics through experiments and practical demonstrations.
- Investigating system sizing: how loud does it need to be, how much headroom is needed and what system will achieve this?
- Analysing addition and subtraction of sound waves and considering the drawbacks and benefits.
- Exploring what happens to sound in our working environment and the different factors that change its propagation.
- Defining the parameters that constitute a well-behaved (and badly-behaved) loudspeaker.
- A look at the d&b acoustics calculator to find out how it can help in your system designs.
