Luna Cinema is the country's leading producer of quality open-air cinema events. Their screenings follow one simple formula: a classic film on a big screen with crystal clear sound in beautiful and prestigious surroundings.

The organisation has vast experience and has staged hundreds of screenings across an enormous cross-section of sites, from London parks, country manors and castles, to swimming pools, theatres and ruined abbeys.

State of the art screens and digital projectors are a standard feature, and the directors of the company felt it was also time to upgrade the whole audio experience for their audiences. They turned to Orbital Sound to come up with a solution for the two systems that the company intended to use for the 2016 season.

One of Luna Cinema's main system criteria was that the new system needed to throw the sound at least 80m in the open air, replicating the most complex of their gigs. This was no easy task, as they also specified that the system remain compact and easy to rig.

As Nexo Loudspeaker's newly appointed Main UK Dealer, Orbital Sound's team specified the new Geo M6 system from the French manufacturer as an ideal match to the spec. Testing ensued at a secret Orbital location, using twelve M6 cabinets per side, resulting in clear and present audio at over 100m.

The Luna team was impressed enough to place an order for over 48 cabinets!
