Shure's recent launch of Axient Digital has got a lot of people's attention - and righty so - as in Orbital's opinion we are looking at a real game-changer here.

The Axient Automatic Interference Detection and all it's benefits is something we have grown to love at Orbital ever since we became certified and trained Shure Axient Partners back in 2012.

We've been quietly working with Shure on the next generation of Radio Mics for several years but our team were still blown away when they undertook their own real world trials of Axient Digital before it's release.

The new Axient Digital sounds amazing - total clarity. Total digital clarity.

The ADX1M bodypack is so small - so beautiful, so rounded. Shure really listened - and have brought to the market a performer's dream. Once you have worn a ADX1M pack it's really hard to see how you could ever want to go back to something big and square.

And then there is the total lack of a transmitter aerial! Shure have applied some very, very clever technology to overcome the inherent challenges of this - and we can independently confirm the RF results are spectacular. For anyone who has held the responsibility of maintaining a large performance fleet of transmitters backstage the removal of the notoriously weak link external aerial is a real step forward. Costumer designers will be delighted and for corporate's its one less thing to worry about as there is no aerial to get tangled up in the Executives jacket pocket.

When it comes to RF the benefits of the sophisticated Axient Technlogy are well documented, but also of massive significance is the Quadversity four aerial mode. Not just four passive aerials, four true digital sampling diversity points - we never expect to have a RF weak zone again! And obviously this opens up the ability to seamlessly track performers across multiple stage areas.
