The EMS 126 enclosure contains a 12” (305mm) neodymium LF drive unit, linked via the internal passive crossover network to a 3” (76mm) diaphragm, 1.4” (36mm) exit HF compression drive unit. The HF drive unit is coupled to a constant-directivity waveguide which produces a 60° x 40° dispersion pattern, rotatable for maximum flexibility, and along with the multi-angle enclosure this allows stage monitor use if required.
The robust enclosure is constructed from premium multi-laminate Birch plywood and is finished in a rugged black textured polyurethane as standard, though. Two NL4 connections are provided on the rear for input and enclosure link. The front of the loudspeaker is protected by a rigid steel grille backed with acoustically transparent fabric. A flush bar handle, 35mm polemount socket and various threaded fixings are provided in the enclosure for optional rigging hardware.
The EMS-126 requires a single amplifier channel, and should be used with professional power amplifiers capable of delivering 750-1000W RMS into an 8-ohm load. For optimum results, the EM Acoustics DQ10 or DQ20 Advanced System Amplifiers should be used.
