Orbital's Sales and Installation Division leads the way for Yamaha?s PM5D

As a main Yamaha Commercial Audio Dealer, sound expert Orbital is pleased to announce two sales of Yamaha's award winning PM5D FOH console.

Jonathan Ericson of KAVE Theatre Services added:

"We've enhanced our product offering with the purchase of the Yamaha PM5D. The desk has been put to immediate use on a production of Return to the Forbidden Planet. The console complements our extensive sound hire stock of d&b, Trantec S6000 systems and full production inventory that the company hires. The PM5D is perfect for the theatre market. Orbital was our natural choice of distributor due to their presence and experience in the market. The service and support we've received has been second to none."

Having championed the PM1D four years ago and the subsequent digital revolution in theatre, Orbital is well placed as a Yamaha Commercial Dealer to offer informed advice and technical backup for the PM5D. Sales and Installations Manager, Tom Byrne, explained:

"Our experience in theatre and other live productions using Yamaha?s consoles, including the PM5D, puts us in a strong position to expand the UK market for this innovative console. Our sales approach is informed and practical beit for a single console or an entire system as recently supplied to Bill Kenwright for Blood Brothers."

Bill Kenwright Productions has acquired the console to operate at the FOH position of their legendary musical Blood Brothers at The Phoenix theatre in London's West End, whilst Sussex based sound rental company KAVE Theatre Services has augmented the potential of its hire fleet with the addition of the PM5D.

Combining the features of Yamaha's DM2000 and the ground breaking PM1D, the PM5D is similarly designed and engineered to the highest standards. As a mid-priced digital console, complete with a third generation operating system, it fits perfectly into Yamaha?s range as a robust workhorse for all but the largest sound reinforcement projects.

Bill Kenwright's Production Manager, David Stothard, commented:
