HME DX100 Launched

Orbital Launches Fully Mobile Wireless Solution from HME

Sound experts Orbital is delighted to announce that it has unveiled the new DX100 wireless intercom from HME professional audio at the recent SBES Broadcast Show, 16-17th November, NEC, Birmingham.

As the distributor for HME in the UK, Orbital adds the DX100 into its expansive inventory, which includes HME's DX200 wireless intercom that scooped best new sound and comms product award at The ABTT Theatre Show Awards earlier this year.

Available for sale or hire through their central London based HQ, the HME DX100 revolutionises the potential for seamless communications in broadcast applications whether for OB work, on location or in the studio.

It also provides a valuable communications tool across a host of application environments, including leisure build projects, conferencing, theatre and live events.

The DX100 allows up to 15 people to speak to each other via headsets without any connecting cables. Much more efficient than walkie talkies it promotes seamless communication in hands-free mode and allows private conversations via its secured channel.

Boasting an expandable system design, the DX100 comes complete to offer reliable and cost effective operation.

Very simple to use for non-technical users, it uses AA rechargeable batteries, which guarantees 11 hours operation, particularly useful in environments where access to power supplies is limited. Alternatively it operates via 12VDC / automotive power.

Broadcast specialist MR Technical Services has embraced the potential of HME's range
operating a fleet of DX products. Joe Buxton of MR Technical Services commented:

"The DX200 system has worked amazingly on the recent filming of the Da Vinci Code in both Paris and the UK where the director of photography used the system to communicate with the camera crew in both studio sets and on complicated location camera set ups. The system is proving its self very rapidly. As the Film, Commercial and TV distributor of this system, I feel that it won't be long before the DX200 and 100 will become an industry standard."

The potential of the DX200 has also been embraced by organisations as diverse as Rose Bruford College, Rambert Dance, Westminster Live Broadcast and St Mary's Primary School in Welwyn.
