Meet Orbital at this years ABTT Show

Stands 114 & 115, The Lawrence Hall, 11th & 12th June 2008, The Royal Horticultural Halls, London SW1

Orbital will be displaying new products from radio communications specialist HME. HME's philosophy of a totally wireless world is further advanced with the introduction of the DX300 2-Channel master station and the revolutionary WS200 Wireless Speaker Station.

For the first time it is now achievable for touring productions to run all their comms wirelessly, greatly reducing the installation time and hassle as the various units communicate effortlessly by wireless as opposed to crews having to install and remove bulky and expensive cable at every venue. The packaging and weight is greatly reduced helping reduce transport costs and save vehicle fuel requirements.

Simple controls enable the system to be set up and operational in minutes, even for non-technical staff. The 2 Channel DX300 supports up to 15 wireless production crew members at a time, with up to three communicating in full duplex hands-free mode. WS200 is a unique and truly mobile solution when a remote speaker station is required. The WS200 does not have to be hardwired to a master station, eliminating the costly and time-consuming task of running cables - users simply place the unit where it is needed, and go about their business

By reducing weight and bulk HME join other innovators like DigiDesign with their digital consoles in reducing the fossil fuel requirement of touring productions. There is an overall objective to reduce the cost on the environment of touring productions by maximizing new technologies to reduce electricity consumption, road congestion and fuel requirements.

Showing for the first time is DigiDesign's Mix Rack designed with small to mid-sized venues, houses of worship, and touring theatres. The Mix Rack offers the most affordable entry into the state-of-the-art VENUE line and is a perfect example of the latest compact and lightweight technology

Also being displayed for the first time by Orbital will be d&B audiotechnik's E8, E12 and E15X-SUB loudspeakers together with the new D6 amplifier. More efficient than ever before the D6 consumes less electricity than any other amplifier in it's class, whilst the E8 and E12 are constructed from polyurethane integral hard foam with an impact resistant paint finish resulting in extraordinary weight savings.

New from digital radio microphone pioneer Zaxcom will be the latest body-pack transmitter featuring the unique "Tube Mode" analogue audio replication option. Orbital now offer a rechargeable battery option helping reduce damage to the environment caused by the hazardous chemicals found in disposable batteries

And the company will be showcasing it's managed solution for helping theatre owners and producers comply with the "Noise at Work Regulations 2005 Act" that became law for the entertainment industry on 6th April 2008.
