Finally, Orbital report a lot of valuable debate based around their Noise At Work Regulation Risk Assesment Programme,
developed originally for the theatre. Such has been its success that they are working on a new tailored programme to meet the
specific requirements of small and large scale events.
Summing up, Orbital Sound MD Chris Headlam commented, "The Event Show always provides a good networking forum and
once again we met all the key players we had targeted.
"The show enables us to engage in a useful exchange of ideas, which impacts on our business throughout the year."
Theatre and event specialists, Orbital Sound, kicked off 2009 with a successful outing at January's Event Show, where the inspired deployment of communication networks captured the imagination of many visitors.
Orbital demonstrated the ability to link communication technologies together, in order to provide a more flexible solution. "At the same time, we were able to show how current communications infrastructures can be adapted to work better, while adding on new technologies will provide smoother and more efficient running systems," said director, Tim Sherratt.
Orbital received a lot of interest in their HME digital duplex radio comms systems — particularly the IP67-rated DX300 base station that can be used outdoors in all weathers — and took many enquiries about their TETRA Comms networks, as supplied to the Isle Of Wight Festival last year.
"In fact visitors were intrigued by our successful deployment of TETRA based solutions for the festival market, and the advantages this has over current analogue trunking systems," continued Sherratt. "Of greatest interest was the speed with which the network can be deployed — just 40 minutes from arrival on site — and the active noise cancelling technologies, along with the exceptional coverage that can be achieved."
