Orbital offer cost effective performance bringing the ML5000 into the mix

Allen & Heath ML5000

Central-London based Orbital Sound who specialise in the supply, design and installation of sound systems for all Theatre and Musical Productions have recently aquired 3 x Allen & Heath ML5000 mixing consoles from the London branch of LMC Audio Systems.

Specified in advance by Orbital for their forthcoming Winter season, the console will be employed on Christmas Productions as well as Bill Kenwright's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".

The nature of the Christmas shows dictates working to tight production deadlines and limited budgets. Orbital has a lengthy and affectionate relationship with these theatres, and as such has gained unrivalled expertise in Pantomime productions. Orbital's hire department, headed by Jane Finlay and Dan Parton, who specified the desks, offer practical advice gained from years of experience in this most traditional of theatre.

The addition of the Allen & Heath ML5000, as a innovative, performance mixing console, but at modest cost, perfectly complements Orbital's extensive inventory of high specification equipment.

The console's feature packed and robust design makes the ML5000 ideal for any production working within limited budgetary constraints and enables Orbital to provide a cost effective, reliable solution for these shows.

As Orbital's Jane Finlay explained:
"It is really great value for money, with loads of outputs, stacks of useful automation, and rare features like VCA assignment, encoded as part of scene memories, a feature theatre people are always asking us for. It is a great addition to my hire catalogue".
