R1 Remote Control Software

The d&b software suite combines simulation of loudspeaker systems applied in a venue with remote control and monitoring of amplifier, loudspeaker and service functions. Simulation permits design and optimization of loudspeaker systems and adjustment to the specific venue within an ArrayCalc software model. The ArrayCalc R1 export function then feeds this system data into an R1 project file. When this data is imported into the R1 Remote control software a graphical user interface is created and all settings are sent to the amplifiers via the d&b Remote network. This central access to all functions, controls, detailed system and device diagnostics information unlocks the full potential of the d&b system approach.

R1 Remote control software V2 supports the E-PAC, D6, D12 and D80 amplifiers. R1 Remote control software V2 offers both OCA via Ethernet and dbCAN protocols supporting both of these in parallel within a system.

The new d&b D80 amplifier is a four channel high power density amplifier incorporating digital signal processors (DSP) to provide loudspeaker specific configurations and functions.

Designed for use with all d&b loudspeakers, has both digital and analog signal inputs as well as link outputs, remote control and monitoring capabilities and sophisticated protection circuits. The D80 is a Class D amplifier specifically designed to deliver high power into low impedance loads between 4 and 16 ohms and utilizes a switch mode power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC) suitable for mains voltages 100 - 127 V/208 - 240 V, 50 - 60 Hz.

The signal delay capability allows user definable settings of up to 10 s (3440 m/11286 ft) to be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers that are also available in each channel, providing parametric, asymmetrical, shelving or Notch filtering.

A signal generator offering pink noise or sine wave program is also incorporated. All of these functions and parameters can be easily accessed and controlled via the colour touchscreen in conjunction with the digital rotary encoder or through the d&b Remote network.

An NL8 provides all outputs on a single connector while individual outputs are optionally NL4 or EP5 connectors.
