War Horse tours Europe with Orbital

featuring a d&b audiotechnik C-Series and E-Series system

The National Theatre's acclaimed production of Michael Murpurgo's War Horse is due to tour Europe later this year, complete with a sound system supplied by Orbital Sound for sound designer Christopher Shutt.

The production opens at The Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam on June 14th 2014, and is a collaboration between the Stichting Theateralliantie, and the Holland Festival.

Christopher has specified a combination C-Series/E-Series d&b audiotechnik loudspeakers, with D12 amplifiers – all complemented by Meyer Sound MINA and UPJ cabinets. FOH is a DiGiCo SD7T mixing console.

War Horse, which has now been seen by over 2 million people in London and by over 4.6 million worldwide, is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, designed by Rae Smith, with puppet direction, design and fabrication by Basil Jones and Adrian Kohler for Handspring Puppet Company. Lighting is by Paule Constable, with music by Adrian Sutton. War Horse received its world premiere at the National Theatre in October 2007.
