Orbital pioneers advanced audio guide solutions for Leisurebuild applications.

For a decade sound specialist Orbital has offered leading creative audio solutions in theatre, broadcast and corporate environments. Most recently, the company has introduced guidePORT – the innovative personal audio guide from Sennheiser –into the UK marketplace, to offer the cultural, heritage and exhibition industries with a powerful and infinitely configurable audio tool.

Orbital's MD, Chris Headlam, explains:

"It's an extremely exciting time to be involved with the cultural and heritage industries. The digital RF technology has now matured in such a way that we can really push the envelope with audio guide.

For the first time it is possible to tailor a system to offer a plethora of integrated services, including data collection and accumulation of visitor statistics. Messages and narratives can be infinitely tailored for different groups, including children, adults, students, VIPs or sponsors. Similarly a host of language translations can also be accommodated. Our audio designers can mix synchronised AV sound tracks, live personal presentations and pre-recorded audio to give an all encompassing sound experience."

Orbital has demonstrated the potential of using guidePORT technology across a number of installations including The Museum in Docklands, The Royal Festival Hall and most recently Chester Cathedral.
