Women In The World's high profile London summit

... with a star studded cast

This October, some of the world's most influential women came together in London for a two-day summit, including Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Cara Delevingne, Liberian Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee, architect Zaha Hadid, and founder of Women for Women International Zainab Salbi among the stellar line-up.

The brainchild of media visionary Tina Brown, the aim of Women In The World is to showcase how women are making an impact, through personal stories, debates and testimony from women behind the major news stories.

Inca Productions Ltd called upon Orbital Sound to take care of all things sound, with our conference and events team behind the scenes.

Orbital Sound's Charlie Garrick explains:
"We fully utilised Dante networking throughout the venue, with a Yamaha CL5 and variously located RIO interfaces facilitating live audio, multitrack recording, webcasting and remote venue live streams seamlessly. A Clear-Com Freespeak II system integrated with a Clear-Com party line system kept our sizeable production crew in touch with each other at all times."

DPA D:fine microphones with Shure UR1M radios delivered a robust and clear vocal mix to the Meyer Sound rig.

The first Women In The World London Summit drew focus on women from a diverse array of backgrounds to highlight their plights, struggles and successes around the world. Guest speakers included SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, Model Cara Delevigne, Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee and Oscar winning actress Meryl Streep.
